The Rungwe Smallholders Tea Growers Association in Tanzania (RSTGA) has a membership of almost 15,000 small scale farmers with an average farm size of just one acre. 20% of their tea goes to an RSTGA-owned company and the remaining 80% to a local company which will now be able to benefit from the lifting of a ban by the South African government on the importation of black tea. Consultants were commissioned by RTFP to investigate the South African hot drinks market and differently blended samples of Tanzanian tea were assessed by the buyers.  Tea final report
